At the Festival
South Bohemian International Beer Festival is the most prestigious event of its kind in the Czech Republic. 2016 will be the 26th year in a row the festival is going to be held, for the first time in the South Bohemian metropolis of Budweis (České Budějovice) on the premises of the local exhibition grounds.
Every year the festival presents to its visitors dozens of domestic and foreign breweries. Famous multinational brewing corporations, medium-sized breweries as well as excellent small craft breweries and microbreweries annually participate in the festival. In the past few years the visitors could taste beers from the largest breweries of Bavaria, the Netherlands and Russia, excellent beers from England and Belgium, or the products of small craft breweries from Ireland and Norway. Naturally, the best domestic breweries participate as well.
The festival is accompanied by concerts covering a wide range of musical genres.
XXVI International Beer Festival Budweis 2016 will be held under the auspices of:

Prague, the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague, the Silesian University in Opava, the University of South Bohemia
in České Budějovice, the VŠTE Institute of Technology and Business in České Budějovice.
